ATA - SEARCH FOR POSSIBLE CANDIDATES - NEW

In order to support the increasing assistance and accession process the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro is looking for junior technical assistance experts in the following sectors for possible 12 months contracts, renewable subject to availability of funds. All candidates must have a very good knowledge of English language.

A – Administrative Assistant – Under the supervision of the Head of section he/she will execute administrative and coordination tasks related to the section including establishing and managing the central archive.
Minimum requirements: University degree plus 2 years of professional experience (e.g. management, organisation, administration, etc.).

B – Procurement Assistant – Under the supervision of the Head of section, he/she will support all procurement activities for work, supply, service and grant contracts.
Minimum requirements: University degree plus 2 years of professional experience (e.g. management, law, audit firm, etc.).

C – Accession Reporting Assistant – Under the supervision of the Head of Section, he/she will assist task managers and political officer in research and editing for political analysis related to the accession process.
Minimum requirements: University degree and relevant working experience. Excellent spoken and written local language is required.

D – Visibility and Communication Assistant – Under the supervision of the Head of Section, and in coordination with the Delegation's Press Officer he/she will support specific actions devoted to increase the visibility and communication of EU funded projects.
Minimum requirements: University degree plus 1 year of relevant experience in communication, media, projects. Excellent spoken and written local language is required.

E – Project Manager Assistant – Under the supervision of the Head of Section, he/she will provide support to project management tasks (budget clearing, review financial and narrative reports, monitoring of projects, administrative work, etc.).
Minimum requirements: University degree plus at least 1 year of relevant experience (including stages) in project management and/or international organisations, implementing agencies, NGOs.

F – Justice Home Affairs Assistant - Under the supervision of the Head of Section, he/she will provide support to the justice and home affairs assistance and reporting.
Minimum requirements: University degree plus 2 years of relevant experience (including stages), good knowledge of the sector in Montenegro and of the local language is required.

G – Assistance Coordination Assistant - Under the supervision of the Head of Section, he/she will provide support to the donor coordination, the development of sector approach, and the impact assessment.
Minimum requirements: University degree plus at least 1 year of relevant experience (including stages) in project development and/or international organisations, implementing agencies, NGOs.

TRAINEESHIP PROGRAMME AT THE EU DELEGATION TO MONTENEGRO, PODGORICA "New"

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The EU Delegation to Montenegro offers traineeships for university graduates. Our intense traineeship programme is designed for highly-motivated young graduates to get direct experience of the European integration process by taking part in the activities of the EU Delegation. This includes: monitoring EU-Montenegro political and economic relations; promoting reforms in Montenegro; informing the authorities, media and citizens about the European integration process and about EU institutions and policies.

Traineeships are offered exclusively on a volunteer (unpaid) basis for a period of up to 6 months. We welcome applicants of all nationalities and backgrounds.

2. PURPOSE OF TRAINEESHIPS AND REQUIREMENTS

The purpose of a traineeship within the EU Delegation to Montenegro is to provide the trainees with an opportunity to:

• have a unique, first-hand experience of the day-to-day work of the European Union Delegation to Montenegro, in a multicultural environment,

• deepen their knowledge of the various aspects of EU-Montenegro relations as well as with the European integration process and EU policies in general,

• familiarize with the functioning of the EU Institutions,

• put into practice the knowledge acquired during their studies, particularly in their specific areas of competence.

We offer traineeships in the following Section of the EU Delegation's Political, European Integration and Trade Section

A) Political, Justice and Home Affairs and Human Rights

Description of tasks:

Under the supervision of the Head of Section, the trainee will be closely involved in activities concerning Montenegro's progress in meeting the political criteria outlined in the EC's Opinion on Montenegro's membership application and of the Stabilisation and Association Process. Tasks mainly consist of assisting in research and reporting, analysing information and documentation, replying to public queries, participating in meetings and conferences and supporting the administrative coordination of the unit.

Qualifications and skills needed: university degree holders and above, preferably in Political Sciences/Law/Social Studies. Good understanding of EU-Montenegro relations, EU integration process, EU policy framework and functioning, acquis communautaire and relevant Montenegrin legal framework in the areas of judicial reform, police and public administration reform, fighting organised crime and corruption, election law and protection of human and minority rights is needed.

Competent in using basic computer programs for word processing, excel, e-mails, and internet browser.
Linguistic skills: excellent knowledge of English language (written, spoken and read); knowledge of the local language would be an important asset; knowledge of French is desirable.

B) Press and Communication

Description of tasks:
Under the supervision of the Head of Section, the trainee will be closely involved in activities relating to information and communication. Tasks mainly consist of monitoring and summarizing the daily press, assisting in research and reporting, analysing information and documentation, replying to public queries, contributing to the organisation of visibility events, participating in meetings and conferences and supporting the administrative coordination of the unit.

Qualifications and skills needed: university degree holders and above, preferably in Political Sciences/Journalism/International Relations/Public Relations. Familiarity with the current situation/issues related to Montenegro's path towards the EU. Good understanding of the EU policies, good knowledge of Montenegrin media environment and public opinion surveys on Montenegro's European integration. Good drafting skills.
Competent in using basic computer programs for word processing, excel, e-mails, and internet browser.

Linguistic skills: excellent knowledge of English language (written, spoken and read); knowledge of the local language would be an important asset; knowledge of French is desirable.

3. DURATION AND COMPENSATION
Traineeships are offered throughout the year and the selection process takes place, in principle, twice a year.

The traineeship may not exceed six months, and candidates should commit on a FULL TIME basis, i.e. 37.5 hours per week, Monday through to Friday.

Traineeships are offered exclusively on a volunteer (unpaid) basis.

In this context it intends to recruit a Task Manager for Infrastructure.
